Sorry for this late update...We'll look for everyone tomorrow, May 11, at 10 AM at Holland Jr. High School. We'll have the computer with us to evaluate film of the athletes that were there last week. And we will be filming again this week. Hope to see everyone there.
Tomorrow's workout (May 4) will feature photos of all the kickers, punters and snappers in action. We'll be looking for fundamental calibration adjustments. Every athlete needs to know his technique intimately. Tomorrow we are going to document through photographs, the technical attributes of your personal process. See you tomorrow.
It was a great workout on Sunday, April 27th. There was a big crowd on the field yesterday with everyone trying to make big strides before the first camps start up. We began spring work on kickoffs yesterday. Of course, EJ Cochrane led the instruction with is amazing strength and perfect technique.
The first competition of the year was won by Pennsbury's Wes Sheffer. Wes will be delivering his skills to Millersville University in the fall. Wes has always been a technically sound kicker. His routines are very well polished. His strength improves with every workout. We are predicting that Wes will have a great college career at Millersville.
Jeff Caraccio of West Point had a long punting workout with Coach George Radu. Jeff looked great. Big leg, great technique. Great flexibility.
We look forward to seeing everyone next week.
PS...after writing this week's blurb, I saw this email in my inbox...
"Thanks for hosting today's workout at Holland. I have punted by myself all year, and just working today from 9:00 am to 12:00 made me feel better than any day that I have had since I left for school. I am looking forward to working my butt of this summer every time I come out because I know I cannot get instruction like yours from anyone else..."
Jeff Caraccio, West Point
We appreciate all of the kind words from all of our athletes and their coaches. We try to respond to all of these kind sentiments, at least with email. If we miss you, it is not because we don't appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks Jeff, we love working with you too.
All of our trainees that were seniors in 2007 have been awarded scholarships and preferred walkons at the University of their choice for the 2008 season. The most recent seniors to accept college positions are Aaron Chambers and Pat Wilson.
Aaron Chambers has accepted an offer to go to Kentucky State University. Although Aaron was primarily a punter in his senior year at Council Rock North Aaron was one to the best kickers that we have ever trained. Aaron was recruited by Kentucky primarily as a kicker, and he will be competing for the starting position there as both a kicker and a punter. Aaron's work ethic and focus give him as much potential as any athlete we have had in our program.
We often get these types of messages, and I want everyone to know how much we appreciate hearing this things. Here is one that we received yesterday... Dear Dave,
I wanted to write you to express how much I appreciate the work you do and the job you've done with Pat and his success he is experiencing this year in football. He has developed into what some coaches have called a premier talent. While his size, strength, and speed he has worked on very hard, his long snapping is taking him over the edge where some of his teammates have fallen a bit short.
Every coach who watches him snap just stand there with their mouths open and stare...
Thank you for all you have done for Pat.
Ken Wilson

In April, we are going to host two clinics per week in an effort to make up for the March losses due to poor weather. This is the time of year when you make your biggest progress and we want to make sure that everyone has plenty of training time on the field.
Kickers thought for the day... When kicking off make sure your kicking foot lands lands completely across and outside of your plant foot. Your follow through should carry your body straight down field for maximum power. Punters thought for the day...... We are going to follow up last week's Sean Landeta congratulations with another testimonial to the greatest punter of all time. A terrific and interesting quote... I heard him say, "If my arms were long enough, I'd never let go of the ball."
Click here for the new punting tip this week... There is no substitute to year round concentration on your particular skill. Whether you are a kicker, punter, snapper or holder, if you want to be the best, you have to work hard year round. The best of your competition will be.
We have learned from many of our trainees that have been frustrated after going to short camps and paying several hundred dollars to attend. They have learned that two or three day camps simply don’t allow personal attention that could do more than to allow you to become aware of the fundamentals for your special position.
If you want to learn, and improve, you have to make a commitment to be coached for more than a few minutes during a two or three day camp.
Precision offers full time, professional, specialist training. We provide training and focus over months of milestones and achievement. We are not forced to measure your improvement over minutes or hours. A restriction that summer day camps are limited to. Our goal is always the same. That is, to be available to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes, to make you ready for your time on the field.
If you want to be the best, you have to make the commitment. precision is ready when you are. See you Sunday.

STOP!!! YOU MUST READ THIS BEFORE CONTINUING
- If you are on a team where you have real competition for the starting position, there is no place in sports that provides a bigger penalty than being the second string kicker.
- You could invest a lifetime in training and be very good, yet, you may never get a chance to get on the field in a real game. Second string kickers don't get chances like the #2 guy on the depth chart for any other position. You can never accept being #2 if you are a kicker. You have to work harder and with more precision than #1 until you are #1.
- It is much easier to kick a ball that travels outside the goal posts than to kick a ball that will travel within the goal post.
- You are usually the one to blame when the snap is bad, the hold is bad, or the blocking is bad. Your team will not have a coach that has the experience or expertise to train you and make you better. You have to figure most of that out on your own. Your position coaches will never admit that having a specialist coach come to your practice is necessary.
- Your team will never give you a reasonable number of reps in practice with a live rush. So your snapper, holder and blockers will not have much experience with game pressure.
- No matter how poorly your team may play, if you miss a kick and your team loses, you are the easiest scapegoat.
- You are expected to make every kick…as a matter of fact.
- You will rarely, if ever, get to practice with a ball similar to one that is in the same condition as the ball you will kick in a game.
- No matter how good you are, when a coach loses confidence in his kicker, you are doomed!
That said, only the strong will survive. You need to have the commitment to be the best if you want to be a kicker. Being second best is not good enough. A good kicker is a confident and well trained kicker. You can only be confident when you understand the dynamics and kinesiology of kicking and you can therefore train for the mechanics that your body requires to deliver a perfect kick, every time. If you want to be the best, you need to work with Precision. If you understand and accept the commitment it takes to be a good kicker, ...Welcome to Precision Kickers and Punters.

Welcome to Precision Kickers and Punters
Precision Kickers and Punters became a business after training many athletes to kick and punt a football at every level of the game since 1979. Precision has earned a reputation as the place that athletes, who are serious about their craft, come to learn how to be the best.
The Precision training techniques are ours. They were developed as a by product of watching hundreds of kickers and punters in practice, film and in games. The techniques we teach are specific and very much Precision oriented. Our training programs have delivered proven results.
We focus as much on the mental part of kicking and punting as we do on mechanics. We teach preparation, training techniques, and game strategy.

There is a very good reason why our kickers and punters are the best.
We are not an organization that runs many camps. Camps have very limited effect on kickers and punters because of the limited number of kicks or punts that a coach can see. Camps allow coaches to work with a few individuals for one day or two days every six months. And on those camp days there may be 50 other athletes looking for attention on that day. It is rare to get much personal attention at a camp. You may get to know what the fundamentals may be, but you will not learn how your body and tendencies may cope with those fundamentals.
We train our athletes year round. Our best athletes have been training regularly with us for one, two, three, four and more years. They get professional evaluation and training on a regular basis. Call it the convenience of living in our area if you want, but the facts are that our kickers get intense training that elevates them above the competition. We run open clinics twice per week and we have appointment based private lessons and mini clinics just about every day. Our athletes take advantage of the opportunity to kick with professional guidance on a regular basis.
Our kickers and punters know more about their craft than most of the coaches that may be teaching at some of the camps throughout the country. As a matter of fact, as part of the training at Precision, we encourage the more experienced kickers and punters to tutor the less experienced athletes. Our belief is that one of the best ways to learn something is to be required to teach it. Our experienced athletes understand the Precision system in great detail. They are taught how to evaluate other athletes and they know the change effect of many technique modifications. Our guys know what to look for. Each Precision athlete that teaches is made better with every session. This process is a huge benefit for the future coaches of Precision athletes. The Precision athletes are qualified to help themselves. They know how to evaluate themselves, how to review film and how to make corrections. Since most colleges and professional teams do not have specialist coaches it is a huge advantage to have Precision athletes on the roster.
So as you read through our website, now you can understand why our athletes are always at the top of every evaluation and ranking of most every camp, combine or competition that they participate in. You should not be surprised. The performance of our athletes is consequent of the full time commitment of both our professional trainers and the athletes. We do not, as some camps and websites may, claim that a particular kicker or punter that got a scholarship is one of our trainees because he came to a one day or two day camp. All of our athletes get intense regular training. You'll need to qualify with several Precision sessions to be called a Precision athlete. You only get this focus and commitment at Precision.
